I had heard so many good things about East Coast West Deli, but we visited today for lunch and I was sorely disappointed. $4.95 for TWO cheese blintzes, $4.95 for two (burnt!) potato pancakes. The blintzes were fine, but the price was laughable. I can buy a carton of six at the grocery for $3, and they taste the same! The potato pancakes were burnt and couldn't be saved by the nice homestyle applesauce. The corned beef sandwich ($8.95) was ok, a bit on the small side considering the price. The service was horrible. We got the wrong drinks, the wrong side dish, and waited forever to try to get our waitress's attention.

We won't be coming back for a meal here. If desperate times call for desperate deli, then get some sliced meats at the counter to go. I bought some chopped liver to take home, and it was quite tasty.

Food: 3 - ok corned beef, burnt latkes, good homestyle applesauce
Ambience: 4 - clean, well-lit deli, about a dozen tables, nice artwork
Service: 2 - waitress brought the wrong drinks and wrong side dish, didn't offer to bring correct side dish. Long wait to get check
Overall: 2 - if you're really craving deli food, get the meat sliced at the counter to go. You'll save money and frustration
